Warm-up
Throwing is a whole body activity and therefore, we must warm-up the entire body to maximize performance and reduce the risk of injury.
The goals of this warm-up are:
- To increase our body temperature and blood flow
- To prepare the joints to work through a large range of motion
- To prepare the muscles to protect the joints
We begin with a dynamic warm-up for our entire body and then focus in on our shoulder muscles. We should perform 10-15 repetitions of each movement, gradually increasing as our muscles develop more endurance.
